		<description>'Made in Greece' is an installation of 45 photographs and a  self published handmade photo book. The photographs are taken in Athens and across Greece since the crisis started in 2007. The work attempts to gather small isolated narratives of hidden realities and untold stories. Physically the DIY aesthetic of the book, printed using a home printer, comments on the lack of means that people face in this prolonged austerity; or it can be also seen as a messy quick attempt to produce a book, an act that satisfies the stereotype of the lazy Mediterranean projected by the media in the recent years. Above all though it is a personal diary, a longing for catharsis that looks for pleasure out of a tragedy. The images become actions destined to overpower the violence unfolding. If I look close enough I catch a glimpse of the time that remains.

This pop-up slideshow explores the phenomenon of the celebrity politician. It questions the political message in four different occasions of political representation. Through this investigation it aims to reflect on the way our democracies are shaped when elected politicians take a little bit too literally Ronald Reagan's famous quote 'Politics is just like show business'.

The work is an ongoing project that studies the dynamic of postmemory in relation to the ethnic cleansing and forced uprooting that the Greeks of the Black Sea were subjected to during the formation of the Turkish and Greek nation states in the early twentieth century. It documents a descendant's attempt to retrace her family's lost history and questions the borders between the family album and the archive. The work looks into the power relations between knowledge, experience and truth that produce an archive and its role in forming identities and national history.
